Senior Investment Associate – Real Estate

About the Opportunity

A private investment firm is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to help oversee its existing real estate portfolio while playing a meaningful role in establishing and growing a dedicated real estate investment platform.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial real estate investor who can operate across portfolio management, asset-level analysis, new investment evaluation, and platform development. The role will work closely with senior leadership and external operating partners, providing visibility into both current investments and the firm’s broader real estate strategy.

The Role

The Senior Investment Associate will initially focus on portfolio management, investment oversight, financial analysis, and reporting across the firm’s existing real estate holdings.

As the platform grows, this individual will also help evaluate new investment opportunities, establish institutional processes, develop strategic partnerships, and shape the infrastructure required to build a scalable real estate investment business.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the performance of existing real estate investments and joint ventures.
\n
• Serve as a key point of contact with operating partners, developers, asset managers, and other external stakeholders.
\n
• Review property-level performance, business plans, budgets, forecasts, valuations, and capital needs.
\n
• Build and maintain financial models for existing investments and new opportunities.
\n
• Prepare portfolio reporting, investment updates, and recommendations for senior leadership.
\n
• Evaluate acquisitions, joint ventures, recapitalizations, development opportunities, and other strategic investments.
\n
• Conduct market, property, financial, and operating due diligence.
\n
• Help establish investment processes, reporting standards, approval procedures, and portfolio-management systems.
\n
• Support the development of new operating relationships, investment partnerships, and sourcing channels.
\n
• Contribute to the long-term strategy and growth of the firm’s real estate investment platform.
\n

What We’re Looking For

\n
• Approximately 4–7 years of experience in real estate private equity, acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management, investment banking, or a related investment role.
\n
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, underwriting, and analytical capabilities.
\n
• Experience evaluating and managing institutional-quality real estate investments.
\n
• Ability to assess both individual assets and broader portfolio-level performance.
\n
• Understanding of joint ventures, development investments, capital structures, and operating-partner relationships.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present investment conclusions to senior decision-makers.
\n
• Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in helping build processes, relationships, and investment capabilities.
\n
• Comfortable operating in a lean, high-accountability environment with direct exposure to senior leadership.
\n
