Job Title: Remodeling Handyman / Trim Carpenter

High Bridge Development is a high-end residential remodeling company specializing in additions, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole-home renovations, outdoor living spaces, and other custom remodeling projects throughout the Louisville area.

We are hiring a dependable and versatile Remodeling Handyman / Trim Carpenter to support active remodeling projects, complete punch-list and warranty work, perform light carpentry and repairs, and help our field team wherever needed.

This is primarily a hands-on construction position . It is not a warehouse-only or general labor position.

We are looking for someone who is experienced with residential remodeling and comfortable completing a wide variety of smaller construction and repair tasks independently. The ideal candidate has experience with trim carpentry, doors, hardware, drywall repairs, paint touch-ups, punch-list work, installations, and general handyman-type repairs.

You do not need to be a master carpenter, but you should be mechanically inclined, comfortable with tools, able to troubleshoot problems, and capable of completing work without constant supervision.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete remodeling punch-list and warranty items
  • Perform trim and finish carpentry
  • Install baseboard, casing, shoe molding, shelving, and miscellaneous trim
  • Install and adjust interior and exterior doors
  • Install door hardware, cabinet hardware, bath accessories, and fixtures
  • Complete drywall patches and small drywall repairs
  • Perform paint touch-ups and minor finish repairs
  • Complete minor framing and carpentry repairs
  • Handle small demolition and installation projects
  • Troubleshoot and repair miscellaneous residential construction issues
  • Assist project managers and carpenters on active remodeling projects
  • Help prepare and protect occupied homes during construction
  • Pick up and deliver materials from suppliers
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
  • Help keep job sites, tools, and materials organized
  • Occasionally assist with warehouse organization and inventory

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of residential remodeling, handyman, trim carpentry, or similar construction experience preferred
  • Comfortable performing residential repairs independently
  • Experience using common hand and power tools
  • Basic trim carpentry skills
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to troubleshoot common residential construction issues
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift and carry tools and materials up to 75 lbs
  • Comfortable working inside occupied homes
  • Professional appearance and communication
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $25.00-$29.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule:
Full-time, primarily Monday-Friday, 830am-430pm

Local travel between job sites, customer homes, suppliers, and our warehouse throughout the Louisville area is required.
