Document Control Specialist Job at InServ Corp., Fuquay Varina, NC

  • InServ Corp.
  • Fuquay Varina, NC

Job Description

Fuquay-Varina, NC / Project-Based Locations | Full-Time | Quality

Keep Critical Projects Moving — One Document at a Time.

InServ delivers complex industrial construction projects where precision, compliance, and documentation matter . We're looking for a Document Control Specialist who understands that great document control isn't just about filing paperwork — it's about making sure the right information is accurate, current, accessible, and available when the team needs it.

If you’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy bringing structure to complex projects, this could be a great fit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You’ll play a key role in managing documentation for industrial and cGMP projects, helping our Quality team maintain the records and systems that support successful project execution.

  • Manage cGMP documentation, including SOPs, isometric drawings and weld logs, validation/commissioning protocols, and quality records
  • Review documentation for compliance with contract requirements, cGMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), FDA regulations, and InServ QA/QC procedures
  • Own revision control, ensuring current documents are in use and obsolete versions are properly archived
  • Maintain document management systems, including document status, approvals, revisions, and retention records
  • Ensure critical records are organized, secure, and easily retrievable
  • Partner with Quality, project teams, subcontractors, and other departments to keep information flowing accurately and efficiently
  • Support training on GDP, cGMP documentation requirements, and quality processes
  • Communicate changes to policies and procedures and help ensure affected employees understand new requirements
  • Assist with subcontractor training related to quality and compliance
  • Audit documentation and identify issues before they become larger problems
  • Help improve document control processes, systems, and best practices

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

You don't need to be the person who loves paperwork for paperwork's sake. You do need to be someone who understands why details matter and takes ownership of getting things right.

You'll be a strong fit if you have:

  • 3+ years of Document Control experience
  • Experience in cGMP biopharmaceutical environments strongly preferred
  • Strong data-entry and document management skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues proactively
  • Experience with document validation and auditing
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • The ability and willingness to learn new software and systems
  • A collaborative, self-motivated approach to your work
  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience; additional education is a plus

AT INSERV YOU'LL FIND:

  • A collaborative team that values expertise
  • Work that has a purpose
  • Opportunities to grow
  • A culture of ownership
  • Competitive compensation that rewards results
  • 401(k)
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Paid Time Off
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Professional development opportunities
